Medusa’s Siren Data Analytics uses IBM Cognos tools to create advanced detailed reports to find and analyze data trends in patient data. Analyzing this information can help lead to improvements in patient care encounters and help improve patient outcomes.

Existing customers have successfully implemented changes in their organizations based on information found with Siren Data Analytics.

EMSA

EMSA, in Oklahoma, were the first adopters of Siren’s advanced reporting package. They used in-house experts who were already familiar with Cognos to create highly customized reports based off of the information collected by Siren ePCR Suite. With the help of Medusa’s development team, they were able to access and create reports using Siren’s patient data. Information from Cognos reports drives many key decisions within EMSA.

RAVU

Similarly RAVU, in the Netherlands, created custom reports using Cognos to create detailed reports to automate the workflow of their ePCRs. They used Cognos to flag specific ePCR information, such as a certain chief complaints, and to notify back office workers when an ePCR was ready for auditing and billing. The Cognos tools and Siren Data Analytics helped them to create custom reports to get the information that they needed.

Although EMSA and RAVU successfully implemented advanced reporting with early releases of Siren Data Analytics, our latest release includes features and tools to help make implementing and adopting the new technology even easier.
