This was an unprecedented partnership in Canadian pre-hospital emergency care. Never before had a province attempted to offer all of its residents –even those living away from major urban centres – the benefits of a complete electronic patient care reporting (ePCR) solution. </p> <p class="Body">Siren’s technology was configured to meet the diverse needs of the 900+ paramedics from all areas of Nova Scotia. The implementation period was just eight months, from October 2006 to May of 2007, and the training and rollout period was also eight months, from May to December of 2007. By the end of 2007, Siren ePCR was running on 150 ground ambulances and 2 air ambulances serving over 913,000 people across Nova Scotia.</p> <h2>About EHS </h2> <p class="Body">EHS is a division of the NS Department of Health. It is responsible for the continual development, implementation, monitoring and evaluation of pre-hospital emergency health services in the province.
